Kernow Trophy Cup 1/4 Final

21 February 2016

Newquay Rangers 0 – 2 Trevenson Pythons The first game in well over a month and both teams were ready to play, the sides have played twice this season and both games have been a hard fought battle. The Pythons went for it from the opening whistle and a fantastic passing move, started at the back sent Matthew clean through to send a rocket passed the home keeper and the visitors were off to a flyer. As per previous duels, the tackles were hard but fair and a close game was on the cards. Just before the break, another great team passage of play found Liam in space to slide the ball into the net. 0 - 2 Half time. The usual changes to give everyone a good run out, meant the game was slow to get going in the second half. To their credit the home side threw everything at the visitors and the backline was tested on many occasions. Man of the Match Harvey was as always rock solid and the game finished with a goal mouth scramble that was quashed by keeper Zach. Final score 0 - 2 to the Pythons. Now we await the Semi Final draw. A big well done to the whole squad, who never bottled a challenge against a big physical Newquay team.
